The one where we dwelled more into AI

Mar 4, 2024

Another great day at Partners in Property Birmingham meeting – but are there any type of days other than great at PIP? Not really, but they seem to be getting better and better!
The main features today included a deal clinic with Birmingham member Anthony Davies – with a project 24 years in the making! Lots of planning issues, trees, bats and more! But our knowledgeable members had lots of ideas and introductions to the the people in our industry that can help!
We had an “ask us anything” panel discussion with Sue Sims, Richard Lloyd and Kiren Gill in the hot seats. Build costs, HMOs, social housing, developments and much more was discussed with lots of questions from the floor!
Our sponsors 978 Finance and Talbots Law presented with a mortgage market update from James Rogers and Gerard Davis presented a really useful guide with 10 top tips for working with solicitors to make your purchase go more smoothly.
The final presentation was from James Pick with a fascinating look at generative artificial intelligence and its applications in the property industry. This area is fast paced and new developments coming in thick and fast as AI evolves. We had several demonstrations of how AI is handling tenant queries for example and providing quick responses.
Members wrapped up with round tables where the discussions – particularly the AI ones – continued long after the scheduled close of play!
Most importantly,  there were lots of networking where members continued the process of building relationships in a community that genuinely want to help each other.
