What a great day we all had at PiP Bristol last week.
During a month when most property networks close their doors, PiP Bristol’s August event was its usual effervescent self – with fantastic speakers; great networking; members visiting from other PiP locations, and even a few after event glasses of wine (we have seen the pictures), over at the Avon Gorge.
Whilst our regular Bristol co host Ben Nicholls was on sabbatical, Sue Sims co – hosted with Angie Nicholls, to bring another spectacular PiP Bristol, event to The Engineer’s House, over in Clifton Down, Bristol!
First up we heard from Karen Stanbridge of KPC Property Group, with a presentation all about finding deals in this difficult market. Karen has a huge breadth of experience and she talked us through where she has been finding deals, giving us some great insights with several current case studies.
Next we heard from the human dynamo that is John Cox, from Insurance desk, with some latest products, case studies and words of wisdom and caution. As an experienced property investor himself, It’s always invaluable to have his take on the world of property and business insurance.
Last up, we heard from Peter Vandervennin, from The Mortgage Consultancy. Peter is a long-standing portfolio landlord and an absolute wealth of information on all things finance. The current high rate environment has meant that investors are looking at different ways in which to finance their deals and Peter delivered a fabulous presentation, looking at different ways in which to finance and the ramifications of these decisions for the investor.
All this and networking with the community, delicious lunch and our wonderfully candid, and expert led, round table sessions – it was a superb day and a wonderful way in which to draw the August PiP events calendar to a close, so that we can look forward to what September has to offer!
Next month, we get to do it all again, on September 22nd, with a deep dive into the world of commercial investing, with presentations from Suzi Carter, Nick Josling and Peter Bacon.
